Clinton Blasts Obama For Reaching Out To Adversaries

Recently Sen. Hillary Clinton ridiculed Sen. Barack Obama for saying, if he’s elected, he’d be open to meeting with the leaders of Cuba, Venezuela, Syria and North Korea - some of our country’s greatest adversaries.

No offense to Sen. Clinton, but what Sen. Obama is proposing is called ‘diplomacy’, and right now this country needs a lot of it. I agree with Sen. Obama, let’s at least create a dialogue with our opponents. In case Sen. Clinton hasn’t noticed we’re not exactly loved by the rest of the world. And let’s not be naive, if the U.S. wants or needs something we open our arms to dictators and those whose policies don’t align with ours on a regular basis.

Whoever wins the presidential election in 2009, their first order of business should be to repair the damage inflicted by President Bush's disastrous unilateralism.
