My Mom used to sew me the coolest stuff: the best Halloween costumes, a groovy culotte with matching vest outfit, and the piece de resistance, a yellow, corduroy jumpsuit (what can I say? I grew up in the 70s.) are just a few of the fabulous items she made with love . I always admired her sewing abilities and a few years ago I finally signed up for a sewing course. Well, after making that first very basic robe, I’ve never sewn since which means I’ve completely forgotten everything.
I’m determined to relearn though, and plan to take another course sometime in the near future. In the meantime I’ve come across these great sewing books/pattern at the Curiosity Shoppe. One of the books and the pattern are by Built-by-Wendy which is also a line of super cute clothing. The other book is by Lotta Jansdotter who I also think does amazing work.
